He currently holds the position of Vice President for Scientific Colleges Affairs since August 2022 and has been a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Jordan since December 2019. He has been working as a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Jordan Hospital since 2004. He obtained a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FFDRCSI) in 2004 and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MFDSRCSEd) in 2000, in addition to a Master’s degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Manchester in 1999 and a PhD in Dentistry from the University of Jordan in 1997.
He is registered as a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with the Jordanian Dental Association and the Ministry of Health. He is also registered with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implants. He previously held several prominent academic and administrative positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry (2021-2022), Vice Dean for Academic and Administrative Affairs, and Director of Graduate Studies (2017-2019), in addition to other roles in academic affairs and examinations. He also worked as a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Al-Bashir Hospital (2001-2004) and as a trainee doctor and resident surgeon in Manchester, United Kingdom.
