Professor Dr. Hassan Awad Muhanna Al-Suraihi

• Professor of Information Science at King Abdulaziz University.
• President of the Special Libraries Association – Arabian Gulf Chapter (2024).
• Former President of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information for three terms until 2022
• Worked as the Head of the Information Science Department and Deputy Dean of Library Affairs at King Abdulaziz University.
• The first Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Assembly of Waqaf Libraries.
• He published over 60 research papers and 15 books.
• He supervised more than 30 doctoral dissertations and numerous master’s theses and projects.
• Editor-in-Chief of two scientific journals and a member of the editorial boards of six scientific journals.
• Participated in numerous specialized and general committees and served as a consultant in knowledge management.
• Received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, USA, the Pioneers Award in the Arab World in the field, and the Distinguished Researcher Award in Saudi Arabia.
